Rather than painting a static portrait, we endeavour to present a project of discontinuity and metamorphosis. The project wants to spread like a virus across the borders of different disciplines, e.g. film, (video) performance and literature.
‘Self portrait’ aims to dissect these disciplines, to examine them and to break beyond their borders, after which a thorough investigation of the many facets of ‘vampirism’ across these expressions of contemporary cultural can shine through.

"i wonder as i wander" was the video we wanted to make because it took so long to get funding for "the holy three". 3 friends, 3 weekends, 3 different locations and 2 videocamera's, this was the set-up. No script, no story, no preperations. The title says it all.

"rmx/xfilm" is an exchange project between experimental filmmaker Maia Cybelle Carpenter living and working in San Fransisco, US and "cinéaste" Karen Vanderborght, living and working in Brussels, BE. Both artists shot images on film while travelling resp. in the US and in Europe.The rushes were transferred to video and send over the ocean to the other party. She now needs to edit-remix the alien rushes. The end result will be highly abstract and completely non-narrative. At least, that was the last idea...
